El Puente Toro Amarillo
The suspension bridge that connects Route 32 and Bella Vista Road to Bella Vista is called El Puente Toro Amarillo "The Yellow Bull Bridge" It is a certainty that this bridge got its name from the sulfuric yellow waters that flow under it. There is a belief among the locals that bathing in this river has medicinal properties and is good for the complexion.
We have our own river at Etlingera Farms. It is called Rio Blanco. It is private and has crystal clear waters. I have this belief that Bathing in our river has meditative properties, is relaxing, refreshing, and easier to get to than Rio Toro Amarillo.
Our bridge was deemed unsafe a number of years back. There was a time we all had to disembark the bus and cross the bridge by foot. It has been a bit of an inconvenience. the construction of our new bridge over Rio Toro Amarillo is now complete. It was a welcome, and necessary improvement to the neighborhood.
